حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَعْنَى، ثنا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ، وَكَانَ قَلِيلَ الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى أَخْرَجَ ذُرِّيَّةَ آدَمَ مِنْ صُلْبِهِ حَتَّى مَلَؤُا الْأَرْضَ وَكَانُوا هَكَذَا» . فَضَمَّ جَعْفَرٌ يَدَيْهِ إِحْدَاهُمَا عَلَى الْأُخْرَى
Abu Abdullah narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) say on the pulpit, and he narrated very few hadiths from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty brought forth the offspring of Adam (peace be upon him) from his loins in such a way that they filled the earth, and they were like this."
