حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جُدْعَانَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ الْقُشَيْرِيِّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ أَعْتَقَ رَقَبَةً مُسْلِمَةً فَهِيَ فِدَاؤُهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، عَظْمٌ مِنْ عِظَامِ مُحَرَّرِهِ بِعَظْمٍ مِنْ عِظَامِهِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik al-Qushayri (may Allah be pleased with him); he said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, that will be his ransom from Hell: a bone of his for each bone of the one he freed."
