It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik bin Nadlah al-Jushami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with the rough manners of a Bedouin and wearing the dress of the Bedouins, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Do you have wealth?" I said: Every kind of wealth, which Allah has given me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah gives you wealth, let the trace of His blessing be seen."
I said: O Messenger of Allah! A man harms me; should I do to him as he does to me? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, for the upper hand is better than the lower hand."
Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you do with your camels? Do you cut their ears and say: bahirah, sa'ibah and wasilah?" I said: Yes. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The blade of Allah is sharper than your blade, and the arm of Allah is stronger than your arm."
