Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16584 — When my mother brought me from the land

حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ الْجُمَحِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا قَدِمَتْ بِي أُمِّي مِنْ أَرْضِ الْحَبَشَةِ حِينَ مَاتَ حَاطِبٌ، فَجَاءَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَقَدْ أَصَابَتْ إِحْدَى يَدَيَّ حَرِيقٌ مِنْ نَارٍ، فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَذَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاطِبٍ وَقَدْ أَصَابَهُ هَذَا الْحَرْقُ مِنَ النَّارِ. قَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاطِبٍ: فَلَا أَكْذِبُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَلَا أَدْرِي أَنَفَثَ أَوْ مَسَحَ عَلَى رَأْسِي، وَدَعَا فِيَّ بِالْبَرَكَةِ وَفِي ذُرِّيَّتِي "

Sayyiduna Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When my mother brought me from the land of Abyssinia, and this was at the time when Hatib had passed away, she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and one of my hands had a burn wound from fire. She said: O Messenger of Allah! This is Muhammad bin Hatib, and he has suffered this burn from fire. Muhammad bin Hatib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I will not tell a lie about the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); I do not remember whether he (peace and blessings be upon him) blew or passed his hand over my head, and he supplicated for blessing for me and for my offspring.
