حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ بِسْطَامٍ، ثنا مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ الْمَلِكِ بْنَ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا كَانَ عَلَيْكَ أُمَرَاءُ مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَا أَنَا مِنْهُ، وَلَا يَرِدُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، وَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ، يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ إِنَّهُ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ وَلَا دَمٌ نَبَتَا مِنْ سُحْتٍ، كُلُّ لَحْمٍ وَدَمٍ نَبَتَا مِنْ سُحْتٍ فَالنَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِمَا، يا كعب بن عجرة، يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ غَادِيَانِ رَائِحَانِ فَغَادٍ فِي فَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِهِ فَمُعْتِقُهَا وَغَادٍ فَمُوبِقُهَا يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ غَادِيَانِ رَائِحَانِ فَغَادٍ فِي فَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِهِ فَمُعْتِقُهَا وَغَادٍ فَمُوبِقُهَا»
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ غَادِيَانِ رَائِحَانِ فَغَادٍ فِي فَكَاكِ رَقَبَتِهِ فَمُعْتِقُهَا وَغَادٍ فَمُوبِقُهَا»
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلَاةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When there are rulers over you such that whoever goes in to them, affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression, he is not from me and I am not from him, and he will not come to the Pond. And whoever goes in to them but does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression, he is from me and I am from him. O Ka'b bin Ujrah, flesh and blood that have grown from unlawful earnings will never enter Paradise; any flesh and blood that have grown from unlawful earnings, the Fire is more fitting for them. O Ka'b bin Ujrah, people, morning and evening, are of two kinds: one is striving to free his neck and so sets it free, and the other destroys it. O Ka'b bin Ujrah, prayer is a proof, and fasting is a shield."
