حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ لُوَيْنَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَلَا أَدُلُّكُمْ عَلَى خَيْرِ أَخْلَاقِ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَالْأخرةِ؟، مَنْ وَصَلَ مَنْ قَطَعَهُ، وَعَفَا عَمَّنْ ظَلَمَهُ، وَأَعْطَى مَنْ حَرَمَهُ» . قَالَ لُوَيْنُ: " يُقَالُ وَاللهُ أَعْلَمُ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ يُكْنَى أَبَا الْحُسَيْنِ. وَرَوَى أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ كَعْبَ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shall I not tell you of the best character of the people of this world and the Hereafter? (It is that) one maintains ties with whoever cuts him off, forgives whoever wrongs him, and gives to whoever deprives him."
Luwayn (the narrator) said: And Allah knows best, it is said that Abdullah bin Abi al-Husayn's kunyah is Abu al-Husayn. And Abu al-Ahwas narrated from Abu Ishaq, from Abdullah bin Abi al-Husayn, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said this same hadith, and in that narration he did not mention Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him).
Luwayn (the narrator) said: And Allah knows best, it is said that Abdullah bin Abi al-Husayn's kunyah is Abu al-Husayn.
