حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلَوَيْهِ الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عِيسَى الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا طَاهِرُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة، قَالَ: خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ سَبْعَةٌ عَلَى وِسَادَةٍ، فَقَالَ: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ أُعِيذُكَ بِاللهِ مِنْ إِمَارَةِ السُّفَهَاءِ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ وَمَا إِمَارَةُ السُّفَهَاءِ؟، قَالَ: «أُمَرَاءُ يَكُونُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِي، فَمَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِمْ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ وَلَنْ يَرِدَ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَأْتِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَهُوَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُ وَسَيَرِدُ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ»
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ، فَالنَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ»
: " يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ، وَالنَّاسُ غَادِيَانِ: فَغَادٌ مُبْتَاعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقٌ رَقَبَتَهُ، وَغَادٌ بَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ وَمُوبِقٌ رَقَبَتَهُ "
: «يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ لَنْ يَدْخُلَ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ، فَالنَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ»
: " يَا كَعْبُ بْنَ عُجْرَةَ الصَّلَاةُ نُورٌ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ بُرْهَانٌ، وَالصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ، وَالنَّاسُ غَادِيَانِ: فَغَادٌ مُبْتَاعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقٌ رَقَبَتَهُ، وَغَادٌ بَائِعٌ نَفْسَهُ وَمُوبِقٌ رَقَبَتَهُ "
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us while we were seven men sitting on a cushion, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Ka'b bin Ujrah, I seek refuge for you with Allah from the rule of fools." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, what is the rule of fools?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rulers who will come after me. Whoever goes in to them, affirms their lies and helps them in their injustice is not from me and I am not from him, and he will never come to the Pond. And whoever does not go to them, does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their injustice is from me and I am from him, and he will come to the Pond."
"O Ka'b bin Ujrah, flesh nourished on unlawful earnings will never enter Paradise; the Fire is more fitting for it."
"O Ka'b bin Ujrah, prayer is light, charity is a proof, fasting is a shield, and people go out in the morning in two ways: one who buys himself (back from sins) and so frees his neck, and another who sells himself and so destroys his neck."
