Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16289 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stopped by him

حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَلْطِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سَيْفُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُجَاهِدًا، يَقُولُ: حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَة، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَفَ عَلَيْهِ بِالْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَرَأْسُهُ يَتَهَافَتُ قَمْلًا، فَقَالَ: «أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ؟» ، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «احْلِقْ رَأْسَكَ» ، فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أَصُومَ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ أُطْعِمَ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ أَوْ أَنْسُكُ مَا تَيَسَّرَ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stopped by him at al-Hudaybiyah while lice were falling from his head. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are the lice of your head troubling you?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shave your head." Then he ordered me to fast three days, or feed six poor people, or offer a sacrifice, whatever was easy.
