Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16272 — During an Umrah, when the Messenger

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي عُمْرَةٍ، وَرَأَى الْقَمْلَ فِي رَأْسِي: «يَا كَعْبُ أَيُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّكَ؟» ، قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: «فَاحْلِقْ وَاذْبَحْ شَاةً أَوْ صُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ أَوْ أَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ» .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: During an Umrah, when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw lice in my head, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "O Ka'b! Are your lice troubling you?" I said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then shave your head and slaughter a goat, or fast three days, or feed six poor people."
