حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْبَرْبَهَارِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَابِقٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ، أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ أَهَلَّ فِي ذِي الْقِعْدَةِ، وَأَنَّهُ قَمِلَ رَأْسُهُ، فَأَتَى عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُوقِدُ تَحْتَ قِدْرٍ لَهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: «كَأَنَّكَ» يُؤْذِيكَ هَوَامُّ رَأْسِكَ؟ "، قَالَ: أَجَلْ، قَالَ: «احْلِقْ وَاهْدِ هَدْيًا» ، قَالَ: مَا أَجِدُ هَدْيًا، قَالَ: «فَأَطْعِمْ سِتَّةَ مَسَاكِينٍ» ، قَالَ: مَا أَجِدُ، قَالَ: «فَصُمْ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ» ، فَحَلَقْتُ وَصُمْتُ،
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he entered ihram in Dhu al-Qa'dah, and lice infested his head. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to him while he was kindling a fire under his cooking pot, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "It seems the lice of your head are troubling you?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Shave your head and offer a sacrificial animal (hady)." He said: I do not have a sacrificial animal. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then feed six poor people." He said: I do not have this either. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then fast three days." So I shaved my head and fasted.
