Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 16211 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when he ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لِأَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ، وَسَمِعَهُ يَقْرَأُ: «لَقَدْ أُوتِيَ أَخُوكُمْ مِنْ مَزَامِيرِ آلِ دَاوُدَ» . «وَلَمْ يَقُلْ يُونُسُ فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ» ة
It is narrated from Abdur Rahman bin Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), when he (peace and blessings be upon him) heard Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) reciting, said to him: "This brother of yours has been given a share of the melodious voices of the family of Dawud (peace be upon him)."
Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Yunus did not say "from his father" in the chain of this hadith.
