Sayyiduna Zuhayr bin Amr and Sayyiduna Qabisah bin Mukhariq al-Hilali (may Allah be pleased with them both) both narrated: When this verse was revealed to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "And warn your nearest kinsfolk" [Surah al-Shu'ara: 214], the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set off toward the top of a mountain and climbed its highest rock, then said: "O Banu Abd Manaf, I am a warner. The parable of me and you is that of a man who saw the enemy and ran to warn his family, and he feared that the enemy would reach his family before him, so he began to cry out: O my companions! O my companions! The enemy has come upon you, has come upon you!"
