حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، ثَنَا أَبُو عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيُّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَلَّقَ حَفْصَةَ تَطْلِيقَةً فَأَتَاهَا خَالَاهَا قُدَامَةُ وَعُثْمَانُ ابْنَا مَظْعُونٍ، فَقَالَتْ: وَاللهِ مَا طَلَّقَنِي عَنْ شِبَعٍ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَدَخَلَ، فَتَجَلْبَبَتْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ: «رَاجِعْ حَفْصَةَ فَإِنَّهَا صَوَّامَةٌ قَوَّامَةٌ، وَإِنَّهَا زَوْجَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Qays bin Zayd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) one divorce. Her two maternal uncles, Qudamah and Uthman, the sons of Maz'un, came to her, and Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By Allah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not divorce me out of being weary of me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and entered, and she wrapped herself in a cloak (for covering). The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril (peace be upon him) came to me and said: Take Hafsah back, for she fasts much and stands much in prayer, and she is your wife in Paradise as well."
