حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هَانِي، أَنَّ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ عَمْرَو بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْجَنْبِيَّ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ، سَمِعَ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ يَقُولُ: دَخَلَ رَجُلٌ فِي صَلَاةٍ، فَلَمْ يَحْمَدْ وَلَمْ يُمَجِّدْ، وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «عَجِلْتَ أَيُّهَا الْمُصَلِّي» ثُمَّ عَلَّمَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَسَمِعَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي، فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَحْدَهُ، وَصَلَّى عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَيُّهَا الْمُصَلِّي، ادْعُ تُجَبْ، وَسَلْ تُعْطَهُ»
Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man entered into prayer, and he neither praised Allah, nor glorified Him, nor sent blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O worshipper, you have been hasty." Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught the people. He heard another man praying who praised Allah alone and sent blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O worshipper, supplicate and you will be answered, and ask and you will be given."
