Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated: On the day of Khaybar a necklace was brought to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in which beads were set with gold. A man had bought it for seven or nine (dinars). He came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned this to him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, not until the two are separated." He said: I only wanted the stones (the beads). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, not until the two are separated." The narrator said: So it was returned until it was separated.
