حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دُحَيْمٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ بَحْرٍ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ، مَوْلَى فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، أَنَّ فَضَالَةَ قَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «لَلَّهُ أَشَدُّ أُذُنًا إِلَى الرَّجُلِ الْحَسَنِ الصَّوْتِ بِالْقُرْآنِ مِنْ صَاحِبِ الْقَيْنَةِ إِلَى قَيْنَتِهِ»
Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah Almighty listens more attentively to a man with a beautiful voice reciting the Qur'an than the owner of a singing slave-girl listens to his slave-girl."
