حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَتْنَا عَائِشَةُ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمٍ قَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللهِ فِي الْحَجِّ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ، أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ حُجِّي عَنْ أَبِيكِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a woman from the tribe of Khath'am said: "O Messenger of Allah! The obligation of Allah regarding Hajj has reached my father while he is a very old man; he cannot hold himself steady on a mount. Shall I perform Hajj on his behalf?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, perform Hajj on behalf of your father."
