حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ دُرَيْخٍ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَصَابَتْنَا سَنَةٌ، وَسَمِينُ مَالِنَا فِي الْحُمُرِ، فَقَالَ: «كُلْ مِنْ سَمِينِ مَالِكَ، إِنَّمَا قَذِرْتُ جَوَّالِي الْقَرْيَةِ»
Sayyiduna Ghalib bin Duraykh (may Allah be pleased with him) related: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, famine has struck us, and the fat animals of our wealth are among the donkeys." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Eat from the fat animals of your wealth; I only disliked the animals of the village that eat filth (jallalah)."
