It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) - or from some other man - that Husayn (the father of Sayyiduna Imran) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Muhammad, Abd al-Muttalib was better for his people than you; he used to feed them liver and the choice meat of the hump, while you slaughter them." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him the reply that Allah willed him (peace and blessings be upon him) to say. He said: "What do you command me to say?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Say: 'Allahumma qini sharra nafsi, wa'zim li 'ala arshadi amri' (O Allah, protect me from the evil of my own self, and grant me firm resolve upon the most rightly guided course in my affairs)."
