Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15688 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the day

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثنا كَثِيرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، عَنْ سَلِيطِ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرٍ: «لَأُعْطِيَنَّ الرَّايَةَ غَدًا رَجُلًا يُحِبُّ اللهَ وَرَسُولَهُ، وَيُحِبُّهُ اللهُ وَرَسُولُهُ» فَدَعَا عَلِيًّا فَأَعْطَاهَا إِيَّاهُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the day of Khaybar: "Tomorrow I will give this banner to a man who loves Allah and His Messenger, and whom Allah and His Messenger love." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and gave the banner to him.
