Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15617 — the Prophet ﷺ said: The best of people

حَدَّثَنَا دَرَارُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ الْقَطَّانُ الْبَصْرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا هَمَّامٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ، ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best of people are my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them."
