حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَوْفَى، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ: صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِحْدَى صَلَاتِي الْعَشِيِّ، إِمَّا الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ قَالَ: «أَيُّكُمْ قَرَأَ سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الْأَعْلَى؟» فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ: أَنَا، قَالَ: «قَدْ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ رَجُلًا خَالَجَنِيهَا»
Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in one of the two afternoon prayers, either Zuhr or Asr, and said: "Which of you recited 'Sabbih isma Rabbika al-A'la' (Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High)?" A man said: "I did." He said: "I knew that a man was contending with me over it."
