Muhammad bin Sirin from Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15519 — a man had six slaves and he freed them
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مِرْدَاسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عِيسَى الْخَزَّازِ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا كَانَ لَهُ سِتَّةً مِنَ الرَّقِيقِ فَأَعْتَقَهُمْ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ، «فَأَقْرَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ، وَأَرَقَّ أَرْبَعَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man had six slaves and he freed them at the time of his death, "so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cast lots between them, freed two and kept four in slavery."
