حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا بَكْرُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْمَازِنِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو حَمْزَةَ الْعَطَّارُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، وَابْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا، أَعْتَقَ سِتَّةَ مَمْلُوكِينَ لَهُ عِنْدَ مَوْتِهِ، «فَأَقْرَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَأَعْتَقَ اثْنَيْنِ، وَرَدَّ أَرْبَعَةً فِي الرِّقِّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man freed his six slaves at the time of his death, "so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cast lots between them, freed two and returned four to slavery."
