Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1531 — The Prophet ﷺ stood at al-Khayf and said

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْخَيْفِ، قَالَ: " نَضَّرَ اللهُ عَبْدًا، سَمِعَ مَقَالَتِي، فَوَعَاهَا، وأَدَّاها، إِلَى مَنْ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَرُبُّ حَامِلِ، فِقْهٍ لَا فِقْهَ لَهُ، وَرَبُّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ، إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ، ثَلَاثٌ لَا يُغِلُّ عَلَيْهِنَّ قَلْبُ مُؤْمِنٍ: إِخْلَاصُ الْعَمَلِ لِلَّهِ، وَالطَّاعَةُ لِذَوِي الْأَمْرِ، وَلُزُومُ جَمَاعَةِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ؛ فَإِنَّ دَعْوَتَهُمْ، تُحِيطُ مَنْ وَرَاءَهُمْ "
Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood at al-Khayf and said: "May Allah keep radiant the servant who heard my words, preserved them and conveyed them to one who did not hear them; for often the bearer of fiqh is not himself a faqih, and often the bearer of fiqh conveys it to one who has more understanding than he. There are three things about which the heart of a believer never acts treacherously: sincerity of deeds for Allah, obedience to those in authority, and staying with the community (jama'ah) of the Muslims; for their call encompasses those behind them."
