Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15274 — I brought a son of mine to the Prophet
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا الصَّبَّاحُ بْنُ مُحَارِبٍ، ثنا أَبُو حَمَّادٍ الْحَنَفِيُّ الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ صَدَقَةَ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ عِلَاقَةَ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ عَقِيلٍ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِابْنٍ لِي فَقَالَ: «مَا اسْمُهُ؟» فَقُلْتُ: فُلَانٌ قَالَ: بَلْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ "
عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا نُجَيْدٍ وَمِنْ أَخْبَارِهِ، وَذِكْرِ نِسْبَتِهِ
عِمْرَانُ بْنُ حُصَيْنٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا نُجَيْدٍ وَمِنْ أَخْبَارِهِ، وَذِكْرِ نِسْبَتِهِ
Sayyiduna Isa bin Aqil (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I brought a son of mine to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What is his name?" I said: "So-and-so." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, name him Abd al-Rahman."
