حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا قَيْسُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ، ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، ثنا جَهْضَمُ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، عَنِ الْعَدَّاءِ بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ هَوْذَةَ قَالَ: أَخْرَجَ إِلَيْنَا كِتَابًا فَقَالَ: «كَتَبَهُ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطِيعَتُهُ مِنْهُ بِذَا الْمَاءِ الَّذِي أَنَا فِيهِ»
Sayyiduna al-Adda' bin Khalid bin Hawdhah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he brought out a document before us and said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had written it for me concerning this water at which I (now) am; this land was granted to me by him (peace and blessings be upon him) as an allotment (qati'ah).
