حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ثَنَا الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، أَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَعْلَى، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُهْدِيَ لَهُ عُكَّةٌ مِنْ عَسَلٍ فَقَبِلَهَا وَقَالَ: احْمِ شِعْبِي، فَحَمَاهُ لَهُ وَكَتَبَ لَهُ كِتَابًا
Sayyiduna Iyad (may Allah be pleased with him) (the father of Abdullah) said: I saw that a skin of honey was presented as a gift to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) accepted it, and (the one who gave the gift) said: Make my mountain pass a protected (pasture) for me. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) made it protected for him and wrote a document for him.
