Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 1507 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: I

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ لِي أَسْمَاءً، أَنَا أَحْمَدُ، وَأَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، وَأَنَا الْمَاحِي، الَّذِي يَمْحُو بِيَ الْكُفْرَ، وَأَنَا الْحَاشِرُ، الَّذِي يُحْشَرُ النَّاسُ عَلَى قَدَمِي، وَأَنَا الْعَاقِبُ» قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِلزُّهْرِيِّ: وَمَا الْعَاقِبُ؟ قَالَ: «الَّذِي لَيْسَ بَعْدَهُ نَبِيٌّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ»
Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "I have several names: I am Ahmad, I am Muhammad, I am al-Mahi (the Eraser), through whom Allah erases disbelief, I am al-Hashir (the Gatherer), at whose feet the people will be gathered, and I am al-'Aqib (the Last)." The narrator said: I asked al-Zuhri: What is al-'Aqib? He said: "The one after whom there is no prophet."
