Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 15047 — I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمَدِينِيِّ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ، وَأَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقُلْتُ: إِنِّي تَزَوَّجْتُ بِنْتَ أَبِي إِهَابٍ، فَجَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ سَوْدَاءُ زَعَمَتْ أَنَّهَا أَرْضَعَتْنَا، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي فَأَتَيْتُهُ عَنِ الْجَانِبِ الْآخَرِ فَأَعْرَضَ عَنِّي، فَاسْتَقْبَلْتُهُ فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهَا سَوْدَاءُ فَجَعَلْتُ أُصَغِّرُ مِنْ شَأْنِهَا فَقَالَ: «كَيْفَ وَقَدْ قِيلَ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I married the daughter of Abu Ihab, then a black woman came who claimed that she had breastfed both of us. He (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away from me. I came to him from the other side, and again he turned away. Then I came in front of him and said: O Messenger of Allah! She is only a black woman (I began to belittle her word), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How can it be, when it has already been said?"
