حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ أَتَانِي فِي هَؤُلَاءِ النَّتْنَى لَشَفَّعْتُهُ» ، يَعْنِي الْمُطْعِمَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ، فَأَسْلَمَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ جُبَيْرٌ
Sayyiduna Jubayr bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had he come to me about these foul people, I would have accepted his intercession," meaning Mut'im bin Adi.
