Ibn Shimasah said: Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in prayer, and he stood up when he was required to sit. The people behind him said: "Subhan Allah," but he did not sit. When he finished the prayer, he performed two prostrations while sitting, then said: "I heard you saying 'Subhan Allah' so that I would sit, whereas that is not the Sunnah; rather, the Sunnah is what I did."
