Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14937 — the Prophet ﷺ said: A vow is an oath
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْغَفَّارِ بْنُ دَاوُدَ أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِمَاسَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «النَّذْرُ يَمِينٌ وَكَفَّارَتُهُ كَفَّارَةُ يَمِينٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A vow is an oath, and its expiation is like the expiation for an oath."
