حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرٍ النَّاجِيُّ، ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُشَّانَةَ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَو كَانَ بَعْدِي نَبِيٌّ كَانَ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ»
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there were to be a prophet after me, it would have been Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him)."
