Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14704 — A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَنِيفَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ يُونُسَ الْبَكَّارِيُّ الشِّيرَازِيُّ، ثَنَا الْحُرُّ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي مَسْعُودٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ قَالَ: جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إنِّي أُبْدِعَ بِي فَاحْمِلْنِي، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا أَجِدُ مَا أَحْمِلُكَ عَلَيْهِ، وَلَكِنِ ائْتِ فُلَانًا فَيَحْمِلَكَ» فَأَتَاهُ فَحَمَلَهُ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «الدَّالُّ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ كَفَاعِلِهِ أَوْ كَعَامِلِهِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, my mount has been left behind on the way, so provide me with a mount." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I do not have a mount to give you, but go to so-and-so; he will give you a mount." He went to him and he gave him a mount. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The one who guides to good is like the one who does it, or the one who acts upon it."
