Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Abu Shu'ayb had a slave who was a butcher. When he saw the hardship that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions were in, he ordered his slave to bring enough meat for five men. Then he sent word to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "Come to us as the fifth of five." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) set out as the fifth of five, and a sixth man followed them. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) reached Abu Shu'ayb's door, he said: "You sent for five men, and this man has followed us. If you permit him, he will come in; otherwise he will go back." He said: "No, rather I have permitted him; let him eat too."
