حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ زُرَارَةَ الْحَدَثِيُّ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ البَلْويِّ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْبَدَّاحِ بْنِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ قَالَ: اشْتَرَيْتُ أَنَا وَأَخِي مِائَةَ سَهْمٍ مِنْ سِهَامِ خَيْبَرَ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «يَا عَاصِمُ مَا ذِئْبَانِ عَادِيَانِ أَصَابَا غَنَمًا أضَاعَهَا رَبُّهَا بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حُبِّ الْمَرْءِ الْمَالَ وَالشَّرَفَ لِدِينِهِ»
Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) said: My brother and I bought one hundred shares of the shares of Khaybar. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to know of this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Asim! Two ravenous wolves that get among sheep whose owner has neglected them do not cause as much harm as the harm caused to a man's religion by his love of wealth and status."
