حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: نَاشَدَ عُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ النَّاسَ يَوْمًا، فَقَالَ: أَتَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَعِدَ أُحُدًا، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا، وَأَنَا فَارْتُجَّ أُحُدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ مُحَمَّدٌ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ، وَعُثْمَانُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمْ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اثْبُتْ أُحُدُ مَا عَلَيْكَ إِلَّا نَبِيُّ وَصِدِّيقٌ وَشَهِيدَانِ»
Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) said: One day Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) adjured the people and said: Do you know that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) climbed Mount Uhud, together with Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and I (climbed with them too), and Mount Uhud began to shake while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them) were upon it, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be still, O Uhud! There is none upon you but a Prophet, a Siddiq and two martyrs."
