حَدَّثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، ثَنَا بُنْدَارُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ، عَنِ الْمَسْعُودِيِّ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ الْبَارِقِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِنَحْوِهِ، قَالَ: «الْخَيْلُ مَعْقُودٌ بِنَوَاصِيهَا الْخَيْرُ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Urwah al-Bariqi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) narrated a similar hadith; he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Goodness is tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection."
