Imam al-Sha'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from Sayyiduna Urwah bin Mudarris al-Ta'i (may Allah be pleased with him) that he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Muzdalifah, before he (peace and blessings be upon him) departed. When he saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "O Messenger of Allah! I have crossed the two mountains and endured great hardship." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever catches this departure of ours has caught the Hajj."
Abdullah bin Ahmad added in his narration, on the authority of Zahmawayh, that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Gladden your heart; whoever catches this departure of ours has caught the Hajj."
