Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14364 — the Prophet ﷺ said: The martyrs
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِرْقٍ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ بْنُ الضَّحَّاكِ، قَالَا: ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ ضَمْضَمِ بْنِ زُرْعَةَ، عَنْ شُرَيْحِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ عَبْدٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يَأْتِي الشُّهَدَاءُ وَالْمُتَوَفَّوْنَ بِالطَّاعُونِ فَيَقُولُ أَصْحَابُ الطَّاعُونِ: نَحْنُ شُهَدَاءُ فَيُقَالُ: انْظُرُوا فَإِنْ كَانَتْ جِرَاحَتُهُمْ كَجِرَاحَةِ الشُّهَدَاءِ تَسِيلُ دَمًا كَرِيحِ الْمِسْكِ فَهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ فَيَجِدُونَهُمْ كَذَلِكَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Utbah bin Abd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The martyrs and those who died of the plague will come (on the Day of Resurrection), and those who died of the plague will say: We too are martyrs. It will be said: Look; if their wounds are flowing with blood like the wounds of the martyrs and giving off the fragrance of musk, then they are martyrs. And they will find them to be so."
