Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14264 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Protect

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّافِعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمِّي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ حَاتِمٍ، رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ ثُمَّ أعْرَضَ، وأشَاحَ حَتَّى ظَنَنَّا أَنَّهُ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهَا» ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «اتَّقُوا النَّارَ وَلَو بِشِقِّ تَمْرَةٍ، وَلَوْ بِكَلِمَةٍ طَيِّبَةٍ»
Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Protect yourselves from the Fire." Then he turned (his face) away and averted it in such a way that we thought he was looking at it. Then he said: "Protect yourselves from the Fire, even with a piece of a date, even with a good word."
