Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14232 — I said: O Messenger of Allah! We live

Sayyiduna Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! We live in a land of game and we go out with arrows. Then he mentioned the ma'arid (blunt arrows). The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you shoot with the mi'rad and mention the name, and it pierces, then eat it; that is its slaughter. And if it strikes with its broad side, do not eat it unless you slaughter it. And if you find nothing (other than a knife) but a sharp stone, it suffices for you."
