حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، حَدَّثَنِي كَثِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ «أَذِنَ بِقَطْعِ المِشَدِّ والقَائمِتَينِ والمُتَّخِذَةِ عَصَا الدَّابَّةِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Awf bin Milhah al-Muzani (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave permission to cut (from the riding equipment) the saddle rope, the two pegs, and whatever is made into a stick for the riding animal.
