Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 14005 — The area between Ayr
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي شَبَّابٌ الْعُصْفُرِيُّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، قَالَ: «مَا بَيْنَ عَيْرٍ، وَأَحَدٍ حَرَامٌ حَرَّمَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَقْطَعَ مِنْهُ شَجَرًا وَلَا أَصِيدُ طَيْرًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Salam (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: "The area between Ayr and (the mountain of) Uhud is a sanctuary; the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) declared it sacred. I would not cut down any tree in it, nor hunt any bird."
