Companions Whose Names Begin with Ayn (ع)
شيخ من فهم، يقال له محمد بن عبد الرحمن عن عبد الله
An elder of the Fahm tribe called Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman from Abdullah (bin Jafar) (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13813 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجُذُوعِيُّ الْقَاضِي، وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالَا: ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مِسْعَرٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ فَهْمٍ، يُقَالُ لَهُ: مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «أَطْيَبُ اللَّحْمِ لَحْمُ الظَّهْرِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The finest meat is the meat of the back."
