Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 13659 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: There

حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، قَالَ: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ الرَّقِّيُّ، قَالَ: ثنا قَبِيصَةُ، قَالَا: ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى أُمَّتِي مَا أَتَى عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، لَوْ كَانَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي أُمَّهُ عَلَانِيَةً كَانَ فِيهِمْ مَنْ يَأْتِي أُمَّهُ عَلَانِيَةً حَذْوَ النَّعْلِ بِالنَّعْلِ. وَإِنَّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ افْتَرَقُوا عَلَى ثِنْتَيْنِ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً. وَإِنَّ أُمَّتِي سَتَفْتَرِقُ عَلَى ثَلَاثَةٍ وَسَبْعِينَ فِرْقَةً كُلُّهَا فِي النَّارِ إِلَّا فِرْقَةً وَاحِدَةً» قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَنْ هُمْ؟ قَالَ: «مَا أَنَا عَلَيْهِ وَأَصْحَابِي»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There will certainly come upon my Ummah what came upon the Children of Israel: if among them there was one who openly committed fornication with his own mother, then in my Ummah too there will surely be one who does so, exactly as one sandal matches the other. The Children of Israel split into seventy-two sects, and my Ummah will soon split into seventy-three sects, all of them destined for Hell except one sect." It was said: O Messenger of Allah, who are they? He {P} said: "Those on the path that I and my Companions are on."
