It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "How will you be when you remain among the worthless dregs of people, whose covenants have become corrupted, whose trusts have become corrupted, and whose hearts have become divided," and he interlaced his fingers. He said: O Messenger of Allah, what should I do? He said: "Adopt what you know, leave what you consider evil, concern yourself with your own self in particular, and beware of the common people (and their affairs)."
