حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَبِي، عَنِ الْعَوَّامِّ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَنْ سَأَلَكُمْ بِاللهِ فَأَعْطُوهُ، وَمَنِ اسْتَعَاذَ بِاللهِ فَأَعِيذُوهُ، وَمَنْ أَهْدَى إِلَيْكُمْ كُرَاعًا فَاقْبَلُوهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever asks you by Allah, give to him; whoever seeks refuge in Allah, grant him refuge; and whoever gives you a trotter as a gift, accept it."
