حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ قَرْمٍ، عَنْ زَيْدٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، قَالَ: «مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي غَزَاةٍ غَزَاهَا عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ مَقْتُولَةٍ فَنَهَى عَنْ قَتْلِ النِّسَاءِ، وَالصِّبْيَانِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: During one of his military expeditions, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by a woman who had been killed, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the killing of women and children.
